Tamer Hosny’s fans will enjoy some of the singer-songwriter's greatest hits throughout his two-decade career, as well as new summer songs from his latest album Hormone El-Saada (Joy Hormone).
Some of the album’s songs are from his summer film Tag that is making a powerful showing at the box-office, bringing in over EGP 40 million in its fourth week.
The concert of the 46-year-old star will be held at the Al-Alamein Arena with gates opening at 8pm. An opening act by Lebanese band Disco Beirut is scheduled.
Tamer Hosny’s last performance was held last weekend in another venue at the long North Coast, which is hosting dozens of big entertainment activities throughout the summer.
Star-studded music schedule
The biggest festival in New Alamein City kicked-off on 13 July, with a variety of music, cultural, shopping and sports activities that are continuing until the first days of September.
On Thursday 27 July, the festival will host another superstar, Ahmed Saad. He will perform some of his latest hits like Ekhtyaraty (My Choices) which is topping the season’s charts. Saad is currently among the top trending music topics in Egypt and the Arab world after his latest music video Ya Layaly featuring Ruby was released Wednesday.
Lebanese superstars Nancy Ajram and Ragheb Alama will be performing on Friday 28 July.
The festival is hosting a star-studded line-up of music stars that also include Elissa (11 August), Angham (18 August) and Cairokee (3 September), as well other rapper Russell Vitale and Omar Khairat, among others.
Other entertainment events are planned as well, with most of the big activities taking place during the weekends.
The coastal Mediterranean city about 100 km west of Alexandria and 180 km east of Marsa Matrouh. The nearest airport to New Alamein is Alamein International Airport, which is about 30 km away. There is also Borg El-Arab International Airport west of Alexandria, which can be reached by car in 75 minutes.
