Wael El-Fashny - concert

El-Fashny is known for his improvisational performances of mawal, a Middle Eastern form of vocal music. El-Fashny established his profile through collaborations with singers and bands such as Mohamed Tharwat, Mahmoud El-Tohamy, Ihab Yunis, Mohamed Sa’ad, Cairokee and Basata, among many others. He has since made a name for himself as a leading performer in numerous shows.

Reem Ezzeldin - concert

Reem Ezzeldin's first concert at the stage affiliated with the Cairo Opera House promises to be a wonderful opportunity for the young singer, who has recently established herself as one of Egypt's most popular singers.

Reem has performed at the Tahrir campus of the American University in Cairo, as well as Room Art Space Garden City.

In her upcoming concert, Reem Ezzeldin will be accompanied by Ahmed Hassan (violin), Mohamed Abdalla (piano), Ahmed Ewis (double bass), and Mohamed Arafa (percussion).

Egyptian Harp Ensemble - music

Led by harpist Manal Mohie El-Din, the ensemble features several Egyptian harpists combining their talents in one performance.

A musical play that revolves around the life of Charlie Chaplin and considers his influence on the international film industry. The play tells his story from a human angle and sheds light on the difficulties he overcame in his artistic career.

Tamino - concert

American University in Cairo - Tahrir Campus

The grandson of one of Egypt’s most legendary singers, Muharram Fouad, Tamino plays guitar and oud, linking his cultural past to his emotional present.

With each note he strums on his guitar, and each word he sings, Tamino weaves a tapestry of emotions, effortlessly drawing you into his world.

The Tedious Tour of M - film screening and discussion with the director

Directed by Hend Bakr, this documentary follows Mohamed Hafez Ragab, a peanut vendor who became one of Egypt's most important literary personalities in the 1960s. 

The film received a Special Mention at the 2023 Gabes Cinema Fen in Tunisia.

The film screening will be followed by a Q&A with Bakr.

Mahraganat Dance in Egypt - book discussion

Cairo Contemporary Dance Center, 1 Mousa Galal Square Mohandesin, Cairo.

Written by Hend El-Balouty, the book Mahraganat Dance in Egypt was originally published by the Academy of Arts and then re-published in both Arabic and English.

The publication attempts to showcase the voices of popular mahraganat dancers with accuracy and originality.

Arabic Music Heritage troupe: Sayed Darwish - concert

This concert will present music by the great Egyptian singer and composer Sayed Darwish.
The event is part of a series of events organized by the Ministry of Culture celebrating Sayed Darwish’s death centenary.

On the eve of Mouled El-Nabi (an Islamic celebration of the Prophet's birth), which falls on 27 September this year, the Cairo Opera House has organized a grand concert featuring renowned singer Marwa Nagy, along with Tanmer Nagah, Ibrahim Farouk, Mohamed Abdel Hamid, and Taha Hussein.

The Arabic Music Ensemble will be conducted by Alaa Abdel Salam.
