American singer-songwriter Kehlani, on her Instagram, asked "How are we allowing genocide to happen in real-time on social media? And why are we, as an international community that has vowed to never repeat history, choosing to remain silent out of fear?"

Many other celebrities have shown support for the Palestinian cause prior to this conflict, including Dua Lipa, Bella Hadid, and The Weeknd.

As a minority in the industry, these celebrities demonstrate courage by openly supporting Palestine, despite potential repercussions for their careers and the criticism they face from followers influenced by the Western narrative.

Their followers have responded with accusations of antisemitism and support for terrorism. Here are some examples of what followers have commented:

“Hiding behind being ‘anti-zionist’ is just a fake, pathetic attempt to hide your true hatred of the Jewish people, rot in hell Roger.”

“How can you stand with terrorists is beyond me; I used to love your music and thought you were smarter than that,” a fan said to Kehlani.

“Never have you pegged as an antisemite,” a follower said on John Cusack’s Instagram post.

On the other hand, many applaud these celebrities for their courage, recognizing their efforts to educate the public on the Palestinian cause.

Many Arab influencers and celebrities have also taken to social media to express solidarity with Palestine, including Mayan El-Sayed, Ghada Abdelrazek, Dorra Zarrouk, and Angham, among many others.
