Earlier today Diab released an official statement on his Twitter account saying: "Due to the unfortunate events in Gaza, Amr Diab's concert at Coca-Cola Arena has been postponed until further notice. Our hearts go out to the people of Palestine, and we stand with them during these challenging times."
Israeli airstrikes against Palestinians in Gaza have left 4,000 dead and more than 13,000 injured with hundreds of homes destroyed and a million without shelter in the Gaza Strip.
Diab has also announced he will make a special donation to support the Palestinian people through the Egyptian Red Crescent Foundation. The donation is estimated at EGP five million ($161,000).
