The track, which was released on 15 November, garnered more than 1.6 million views in a few days, becoming #5 on YouTube’s list of trending music in Egypt.
"We will not be silent, we will not surrender until the Palestinian people enjoy the peace, freedom, and dignity they deserve," said the lyrics written by Ajlan Thabet set to music composed by Alkhudher.
The visuals of the video clip directed by Bassel Nasr shift between Alkhudher and other actors wearing Palestinian clothing and kuffiyas (scarves), locations that aim to reproduce Palestinian cities, its streets and markets, and numerous pro-Palestinian demonstrations.
The track is among numerous music productions that aim to show solidarity with Palestine created by artists from the Arab World.
Born in 1989, Humood Alkhudher is a Kuwaiti singer and music producer.
He came to the limelight at the age of 13 for singing Ummi Filisteen in a duet with Mishari Al-Aradah, another well-known Kuwaiti singer, on the suffering of Palestinians.
His album Aseer Ahsan (2015) which tackled topics of self-empowerment, reached number 10 on the Billboard World Albums Chart.
Alkhudher released also other albums: Matha Bad? (2020) and Tahayya (2022), and numerous singles.
