The exhibition showcases oil paintings by Ashraf El Zamzami.

The artist’s latest collection constitutes a deep delve into the recesses of his mystifying psyche, a place where the reckless abandon of childhood takes over. It is an entire world at the feet of a mind with an undying youthful exuberance still so vigorous in his old age.

Saad El-Oud plays songs representing authentic Egyptian heritage while interacting with the audience.

Fouad & Mounib - concert

Friday 24 November, 7pm

Bibliotheca Alexandrina main hall, Alexandria

 

The story of Fouad & Mounib goes back to 2015 when the two musicians met on Facebook and began sharing their music. After a few months, the duo performed in their first concert at Alexandria’s Creativity Centre.

The duo’s popularity increased, taking them to numerous renowned halls, including the Cairo Opera House and Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s Arts Centre, and tours to Morocco and Austria.

With time, the musicians started pursuing more ambitious creative endeavours, with Mounib creating arrangements for various ensembles and an orchestra.

Launch of the eighth Sharm El-Sheikh International Theatre Festival for Youth (SITFY)

Sharm El-Sheikh

The eighth edition of SITFY takes place between 25 and 30 November 2023 in Sharm El-Sheikh.

Held annually, the SITFY is the first of its kind to be organised in Sinai. It was launched to provide opportunities to young theatre practitioners. It also aims to contribute to decentralising the artistic scene and resuscitate tourism in South Sinai.

The SITFY founder and president is Mazen El-Gharabawy, with Ingy El-Bastawi as artistic director.

El-Hadra Troupe - concert

Saturday 25 November

El-Sawy Culturewheel, 26 July Street, Zamalek, Cairo

Founded by Nour Nageh, the troupe consists of Sufi devotees performing their renditions of classical standard Arabic Sufi poems.
