Cairo Art Fair EAST

The 9th edition of Cairo Art Fair continues until 24 January 2023.
The exhibition launched in early December at District 5 Marakez, showcasing the largest collection of contemporary Egyptian art to date. Over 130 talented artists grace the occasion, presenting an array of more than 1500 artworks.
Voi! Voi! Voi! - film and discussion

The Egyptian film Voy! Voy! Voy! is inspired by true events, and tells the story of Hassan, a security guard living an impoverished life with his mother, who dreams of traveling and living abroad.
Voy! Voy! Voy! is nominated to Oscar's Foreign Language Film Award Committee, which will be selecting films to compete in the 96th edition of the Academy Awards (2024).
The film stars Mohamed Farrag, Bayoumi Fouad, Nelly Karim, Taha Desouki, Amgad El-Haggar, Hanan Youssef, Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Hagag Abdel-Azim with a special appearance by Passant Shawky.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with film critic Andrew Mohsen.
Cart Shahn (Recharge Cart) - film

The film’s plot follows Sherif, a middle-class employee with a small family whose life changes with the appearance of a person who exploits him financially through digital applications and recharge cards.
The film stars Mohamed Tharwat, Bayoumy Fouad, Sami Mghawry, Mahmoud Saber.

Charlie - musical

Theatre “The Theatre”, Cairo Media City, 6th of October
A musical play that revolves around the life of Charlie Chaplin and looks at the extent of his influence on the international film industry. The play tells his story from its human side and sheds light on the stages and difficulties that he overcame in his journey and artistic career.

Abdel Halim Nouira Ensemble for Arabic Music

Celebrating the New Year approaching, the orchestra and several soloists conducted by Ahmed Amer will perform works from the Arabic music repertoire beloved by the audience.

Led by the dervish Hussein Suleiman, the evening commemorates Rumi, a 13th-century Sufi mystic, poet, and Islamic scholar.

Ali Quandil - standup comedy

Ali Quandil is one of Egypt's stand-up comedy pioneers. Over the last 10 years, he has performed 500 shows in more than 20 Egyptian cities, in addition to his shows in Dubai and The Comedy Club in Jeddah.

Oud duo - concert

Dina Abdel Hameed and Ghassan El-Youssef have made their mark as one of Cairo's most popular oud duos.
Both musicians studied at the Arabian Oud House, under the guidance and supervision of Cairo-based Iraqi oud master Nassir Shamma.
