Lara Fabian, Hauser join Saudi star Mohammed Abdu's Diamond Jubilee concert in Riyadh

Riyadh hosted the Diamond Jubilee of the renowned Saudi singer Mohammed Abdu, inviting international stars such as Lara Fabian and cellist Hauser to the stage.

The concert which took place on 30 December aimed at honoring the six-decade-long legacy of the leading Saudi singer.

The celebration began with Turki Al-Sheikh, Saudi chairman of the General Authority for Entertainment, taking the stage and offering Abdu a gift made of gold and thanking the artist for his rich contribution to Saudi culture that, among many elements, includes 300 songs written for his homeland.

In his turn, Abdu decided to donate the gift to the Saudi campaign working on providing humanitarian relief to people in Gaza.

During the event, Abdu performed some of his best-known works, from Sawtak Yonadini (Your Voice Calls Me) and Kol Ma Nasnas (Every Time We Feel Breeze) to numerous other known hits. 

The concert also featured Lara Fabian, the renowned Belgian-Canadian pop singer and songwriter, widely admired for her unique soprano. 

It also included a segment performed by the world-renowned cellist Hauser who played the famous Sway accompanied by the grand orchestra.  

Hauser also joined Abdu in one of the songs, playing cello to Arabic music for the first time in the Serbian musician's career.
