The awards were announced during a ceremony held at at The Theatre Dubai on Sunday, celebrating winners of several categories including fashion & beauty, food, music, education, sports, gaming, and entertainment.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards were given to the best TikTok creators from the Middle East in each category.
Youssef Ismail, who scored Gold in the Music Creator category, is a 28-year-old TikToker from Egypt with 2.2M followers and 19.8M likes on his account @youssefismailmusic.
Being a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy with a passion for music, many of Ismail's videos on TikTok are his covers of known songs topped with originals or original lyrics presented in known music. He also posts commentaries on some political and social issues.
Two other TikTokers were awarded in the music category section: Yassmin Ibrahim (Silver award) and Zena Emad (Bronze award)
The Gold for Entertainment Creator went to Egyptian TikToker Amina Hussein, with the account @aminahussein5_ boasting 1.8M followers and 66.9M likes.
On her account, Hussein provides commentaries on numerous entertainment topics, filling her opinions with many banters, gags, jokes, and satire.
For instance, several of her most recent videos are commentaries on the attires and hairstyles of the stars attending the Golden Globes.
Two other TikTokers were awarded in the entertainment category section: Deema Abu Naser (Silver award) and Bassant Dinar (Bronze award)
