Egyptian musicians from all walks of life celebrate Valentine's Day through many concerts in Cairo, Alexandria, and Damanhour. Check our listing below.

Talents’ Development Centre
Monday 12 February, 8 pm

Alexandria Opera House (Sayed Darwish Theatre), Alexandria

The evening will feature several classes from the Talents’ Development Centre. The young performers will perform on guitars, with the young ballet dancers adorning the evening. The Talents’ Development Centre is an educational body operating under the Cairo and Alexandria Opera Houses.

Accordionella and Reem Ezzeldin
Monday 12 February, 9 pm (doors open at 8.30 pm)
Room Art Space - New Cairo

Trio Accordionella and singer Reem Ezzeldin join hands in their first-ever collaboration. Accordionella features its founder and piano accordion player Rafeek Gamal, guitarist Dany Joseph, and Cajon player Ahmed Adel. The concert will include covers of songs by famous singers such as Asmahan, Abdel-Halim Hafez, Mohamed Mounir, Amr Diab, and Mohamed Fawzi, among others, performed by Ezzeldin to the unique arrangement of Accordionella.

Mohamed Sharara and Friends
Tuesday 13 February, 8 pm

Cairo Opera House’s small hall, Zamalek, Cairo

The evening will feature love songs and love themes from films. This Valentine’s concert will feature numerous musicians performing repertoire from Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, music from Frozen, Aladdin, and The Godfather, among others.

Ritmo Band
Tuesday 13 February, 9 pm (doors open at 8.30 pm)
Room Art Space - New Cairo

Ritmo band consists of girls performing well-known covers celebrating Valentine's Day with Egyptian, oriental, Lebanese, Khaliji, and English songs. The concert is dubbed “Five Hearts: Our Hearts Beat For You”. The line-up includes Myrna Shalaby (main vocal), Ghadeer El-Gamal (keyboard), Nour Ahmed (guitar), Hadeer El-Gamal (tabla) and Mimi Ayad (drums).

El-Sawy Culturewheel, River Hall, 26th of July Street, Zamalek, Cairo

The Egyptian Shaabi singer will celebrate Valentine’s Day with some of his well-known songs.

Alexandria Opera House String Orchestra
Wednesday 14 February, 8 pm

Alexandria Opera House (Sayed Darwish Theatre), Alexandria

Alexandria Opera String Orchestra will join hands with the Sweet Sound Band to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Conducted by Mounir Nasr Eldin, the concert will feature Alaa Farrag (keyboard and vocals), Omar El-Toudy (keyboard and piano), Mohsen Dokla (guitar), Medhat Dopkla (drums), with guest singers Judith and Tania.



BA Youth Orchestra and Michelle Rounds
Wednesday 14 February, 8 pm

Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Great Hall, Alexandria

The concert will feature the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Youth Orchestra conducted by Shadi Abdel-Salam, performing the best-known love compositions such as Besame Mucho, La Vie en Rose, Perhaps Love, Sway, Fly Me to the Moon, among others. The guest singer of the evening is Michelle Rounds.

El Sakia Puppet Show
Thursday 15 February, 7.30 pm

El-Sawy Culturewheel, Wisdom Hall, 26th of July Street, Zamalek, Cairo

The puppets presenting known Egyptian singers will present a special repertoire that celebrates Valentine's Day. El Sakia Puppet Theatre was created by El Sakia’s founder Mohamed Abdel-Monem El-Sawy. The troupe’s first performance took place in 2005 and ever since then, the troupe has presented puppet music performances regularly, with the best-known being Um Kalthoum Back on Stage staged on the first Thursday of every month. 

Cairo Opera Company
Thursday 15  February, 8 pm

Cairo Opera House, main hall, Zamalek, Cairo

The special gala dubbed Valentine’s Day Celebration will feature the soloists of the Cairo Opera Company accompanied by the Cairo Opera Orchestra under the baton of Ahmed Farag.

Leilat Tarab with Mohamed El-Toukhy

Arabic Music Institute, Ramses Street, Cairo

Oud player Mohamed El-Toukhy will perform a traditional Arabic music repertoire in a concert that’s dubbed “Valentine’s Day Celebration”.

Alexandria Opera Ensemble for Music and Arab Singing
Thursday 15  February, 8 pm

Alexandria Opera House (Sayed Darwish Theatre), Alexandria

In this Valentine’s concert, the Alexandria Opera Ensemble for Music and Arab Singing will be conducted by Alaa Abdel-Salam. The evening will feature several singers such as Nada Ghaleb, Walaa Tolba, Amir El-Refaei, and Mohamed El-Khouly.. etc. The special guest of the evening is pianist Amr Selim.

The Riff Band and Bandmakers
Friday 16 February, 8 pm

Theatro Arkan, Sheikh Zayed City, Cairo outskirts

A Valentine’s Day Concert will include love songs performed by the jazz band The Riff Band. The opening act will be performed by Egypt’s uprising talents Bandmakers students.

National Arab Music Ensemble
Friday 16 February, 8 pm

Cairo Opera House, main hall, Zamalek, Cairo

The National Arab Music Ensemble will present the iconic love songs by Warda performed by the soloists: Sara Zaki, Nehad Fathy, and Hend El-Nahas, among others. The Ensemble will be conducted by Ehab Abdel-Hamid.

Neveen Allouba Vocal Academy
Monday 19 February, 8 pm

Rawabet Art Space, 5 Hussein Basha Al Meamari, Downtown Cairo

The evening features Neveen Allouba Vocal Academy presenting its annual Valentine performance. The show will include scenes from Broadway musicals and others, performed by the Academy’s students.
