The new music video, featuring a fictional trial of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, garnered over 1.3 million views just one week after its release.
Bibi’s Trial features Youssef as a judge and Al-Nour as a lawyer.
The song envisions a fictional trial of Netanyahu at the International Criminal Court (ICC), with Youssef playing a compliant judge who adheres to US laws.
Written by Al-Nour, he portrays the US lawyer who sides with Netanyahu, taking a jab at the ICC's legitimacy:
“Don’t waste your time on Benjamin, my friend is here to stay,” Al-Nour sings.
Directed by Egyptian filmmaker Bassel Nasser, the five-minute song highlights the atrocities committed by Israel against Palestine while spotlighting the US defence of these actions.
Its lyrics sharply condemn the US for consistently shielding Israel from accountability for its aggression in Gaza.
Youssef, 50, rose to fame with his satire TV show Al-Bernameg, inspired by Jon Stewart's The Daily Show, which aired in Egypt from 2011 to 2013.
Over the past year, the surgeon-turned-satirist has regained prominence through a host of interviews, including one with British presenter Piers Morgan, where he lambasted Zionism and Israel’s actions in Gaza.
Well-known for his pro-Palestinian stance, Al-Nour was featured in the satirical song My Sugar Daddy, which he wrote and was directed by Nasser last February. The song condemned Washington's unconditional support for Israel.
