Mounir, 70, was scheduled to appear alongside Ramy Gamal in a concert at the festival scheduled on 16 August.
The concert was to mark one of Mounir's recent collaborations with the younger generation of musicians.
In July, he collaborated with Tamer Hosny in a new music video titled El-Zou' El-Aali.
Mounir has been among the staple performers of the New Alamein Festival, starring in the first two editions in 2023 and 2024.
