This multi-day event will take place at the iconic Great Pyramids of Giza, bringing together artists, producers, songwriters, and music industry leaders from around the world. The celebrations will feature a mix of live performances, cultural exchanges, panel discussions, and collaborative workshops, all designed to celebrate creativity and foster global connections within the music community.
The announcement was made during a concert at the Great Pyramids, featuring performances by renowned composer Omar Khairat and Lebanese pop star Carole Samaha. The GRAMMY House logo was projected onto the Great Pyramid.
According to a Recording Academy press release issued last week: “It is a thrill to expand the GRAMMY House experience globally, and to see it come to life at one of the world’s most iconic locations,” said Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy.
“GRAMMY House Giza represents the spirit of the Recording Academy’s vision to amplify music worldwide and create meaningful gathering places for our entire music community. Next year’s event will be a beacon of collaboration, discovery, and inspiration, connecting us to the creators, innovators, and fans who are shifting and shaping culture.”
This announcement follows the Recording Academy’s 2024 efforts to support music creators on a global scale. “The Academy has agreements with ministries of culture and key stakeholders across the Middle East and Africa to collaborate on a framework to bolster the Academy’s presence and services in these rapidly growing music regions,” the press release stated at the time.
GRAMMY House Giza is part of the Recording Academy’s broader global expansion strategy, aimed at celebrating and supporting the diverse creative forces shaping music across borders. With additional GRAMMY Houses planned in major cultural hubs worldwide, the initiative seeks to build bridges between creators and foster the global exchange of artistry, innovation, and passion for music.
