Najat, widely celebrated as one of the greatest voices of the Arab musical heritage, toured the Grand Theatre at the City of Culture and Arts in the presence of Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD), Ahmed El-Mossallamany, President of the National Media Authority, and Maj. Gen. Dr. Osama Abdel Aziz, Director of the City of Culture and Arts.
The visit offered the acclaimed artist a close look at the state-of-the-art cultural complex, which has quickly become a flagship project of Egypt’s emerging cultural infrastructure.
Following the tour, Najat Al-Saghira visited the new headquarters of the National Media Authority, where she was warmly received by El-Mossallamany. The meeting highlighted the NMA’s interest in honouring prominent Egyptian artistic figures whose work continues to shape Arab cultural memory.

Najat Al-Saghira, born in Cairo in 1938, remains one of the most influential and beloved singers of the 20th century. Known for her refined vocal style and collaborations with major composers and poets, she has left an indelible mark on Arabic music. Her rare public appearance in the New Capital drew attention from fans and cultural circles alike, reflecting her enduring stature in Egypt and across the Arab world.
