Lebanese-Colombian superstar Shakira has postponed her concerts in Egypt, Qatar, and the UAE until November, with organizers citing regional tensions.

The singer was scheduled to perform across several countries as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, with dates planned in Jordan, Qatar, the UAE, and Egypt. However, concerts in Doha and Abu Dhabi have already been postponed, and the Cairo concert has also been rescheduled, according to an announcement by TicketEgypt, the official ticketing partner for the event.

Shakira had been due to perform a one-night-only concert at the Pyramids of Giza on 7 April. The performance formed part of the Asian and Middle Eastern leg of her ongoing global tour.

TicketEgypt, the official ticketing partner for the Egyptian event, announced that the Cairo concert will now take place on 28 November, citing the broader regional situation.

“Due to the situation in the region, Shakira and her team have decided to reschedule her anticipated Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour stop in Cairo,” the company said in a statement. “If you already have a ticket, it remains fully valid for the new date. Refunds and returns are also available.”

The change follows a wave of disruptions affecting Shakira’s regional tour schedule. The pop star had been set to perform at Stadium 974 in Doha on 1 April, while the Offlimits Music Festival in Abu Dhabi—where she was scheduled to headline alongside the Jonas Brothers on 4 April—has also been postponed until November.

The postponements come amid heightened regional tensions due to the US-Israeli war on Iran, the developments of which have disrupted travel and event planning across parts of the Middle East and Arab Gulf countries.

Despite the postponement, Egypt remains one of the most anticipated stops of the tour, with the concert set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most iconic landmarks. The show marks Shakira’s return to the Pyramids of Giza after nearly two decades, having previously performed in Egypt during her Oral Fixation Tour in 2007.

The Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, launched in February 2025 in Rio de Janeiro, supports Shakira’s 2024 album of the same name and is her first global tour in seven years, following the El Dorado World Tour in 2018.
