All Cairo Opera House activities have resumed as normal, Badr El-Zakaziky, the opera house's newly-appointed head, announced in his first official press release Tuesday.
The announcement applies to the opera house's three venues in Cairo, Alexandria, Damanhour, said El-Zakaziky, who was appointed by Culture Minister Alaa Abdel-Aziz last week.
Stressing the opera house's many planned cultural events, El-Zakaziky noted that the Cairo Opera Ballet was currently rehearsing for a performance of 'Zorba,' scheduled to begin early next month.
He added that several concerts were also scheduled for this week in Cairo and Alexandria.
El-Zakaziky went on to stress that the Cairo Opera House would continue to carry out its artistic mission and objectives.
