The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Chamber Orchestra, with concert master Khaled El Showeikh, opens its new season on Saturday 28 September with a series of favourite classics.
The programme of the evening will include Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 5, Bach's Air, Schubert's Ave Maria, Vivaldi's Concerto for Two Violins in A minor, Handel's Passacaglia for Strings and Boccherini's Menuett, among other compositions.
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Chamber Orchestra, which consists of 16 string players, was founded in 2002 with the launch of the Arts Centre’s activities the same year.
