Plays from Egypt, the United Kingdom, France, Portugal, Macedonia, Serbia, Tunisia, Belgium and Iraq are coming to Alexandria as part of the coastal city’s all-new International Contemporary Theatre Festival.
“The festival’s primary goal is to interest the general public in theatre and to expose them to different and unique performances combining dance, video, visual art, music composition, and performance art," reads a press release issued by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
The festival is to run from 2 to 7 May at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
