Art Alert: Discovering society in Wake Up play at Cairo's Rawabet theatre

Sah El-Noum (Wake Up), a satirical comedy, will be performed by the Utopia troupe at the Rawabet theatre on 22 and 23 July.

The play tells the story of a young man who, after finishing his studies, discovers society as it really is and is put in multiple, daily comedic situations.

The play is written by Manal Maghraby and directed by Mohamed Hafez. 

Utopia describe themselves on their Facebook page as "a promising generation of young people who take it as their duty to show refined plays that are simultaneously fun to watch and thought-provoking."
