Bibliotheca Alexandrina closes until Monday on employees protest

The Alexandria Library will be closed until Monday to consider the demands of protesting employees

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina will close its gates to visitors starting today until next Friday, in order to reach settlements with library employee demands that include an investigation into the wasting of public funds and interrogation of the managers of different sections of the library.

The employees held a protest yesterday, 26 October, and called for the removal of the head of the library, Ismail Serag El-Din, as well as the managers of different sections of the library.
