Famous Egyptian actor Yehia El-Fakharany, alongside a squad of stars, is continuing to stage William Shakespeare's King Lear for the summer season starting during Eid Al-Fitr at the Marquee Theater in New Cairo.

Directed by Tamer Karam, the famous play is starring many known actors, including Farouk El-Fishawy, Mohamed Farrag, Heba Magdi, Rania Farid Shawki, Riham Abdel-Ghafour, Ahmed Azmi, Ahmed Fouad Selim, Mohamed Fahim and many others.

King Lear was translated by professor Fatma Mousa, and the play includes music by producer Mostafa El-Halawany.

El-Fakharany has been seeing success with the play since its premier in April, as he had performed the same role with another crew at the National Theater for many years, gaining widespread appreciation from audiences and critics.

The play is produced by newly established theatre production company, which has established four new halls across Cairo, launching with the comedic play Talat Ayam Fil Sahel (Three Days on the Coast) starring Mohamed Henedy early this year.
