Young journalists are invited to apply to participate in a free cultural education programme in April/May with the theme 'Social media in a changing world'

The third edition of the Euro-Mediterranean Academy for Young Journalists conference will take place in Alexandria, Egypt between 22 April and 2 May 2012. Fifty young journalists from the Mediterranean basin are invited to participate.

Themed “Social Media in a Changing World" participants will get an in-depth practical and theoretical session on intercultural journalism, dialogue and mutual understanding between cultures.

The Academy opens applications for young journalists from various media (print, radio, TV, online and photojournalism). All costs of the event are covered by the organisation.

Created in 2007 at the Euro-Mediterranean Youth Parliament in Berlin, the first Academy was held in Jordan in 2008. Its second edition, in 2009, took place in Amsterdam.
