‘Whilst Closely Gazing at Soup’ Dance performance in Rawabet Theatre at 8pm

Karima Mansour in collaboration with Swiss choreographer Daria Gusberti put together this performance that played in Bern for 3 days and now comes to Cairo.

The performance will be repeated on Friday.

Nubian People Tie Festival at Cairo Opera House at 8pm

Opening and running for three days the festival  explores the Egyptian-Nubian identity and culture through different formats of art, culture and discussion.

Within a selection of nine international films screening weekly at Artellewa under the theme ‘revolution and resistance’, on Thursday they present the 1939 Egyptian production ‘The Will’ by Kamal Selim

Visionary Africa: Art at Work exhibition in Al-Azhar Park

The photography exhibition in Al-Azhar Park continues for another week exhibiting African photography from the past 50 years along with Egyptian emerging contemporary artists' work.

A quick seminar and a line-up of musical performances in advocacy of freedom of speech and expression organised by Noon Creative Enterprise

El-Fan Midan (Art is a Square) in Abdeen Square

The Coalition for Independent Culture holds its monthly event El Fan Midan reclaiming public space usage for art. Events usually include a line up of musicians, painting, among other art forms. It takes place in several squares in more than 10 governorates

Live music line-up in Bikya Bookstore at 6.30pm

Ahmed Safi El-Din, known more commonly as Safi, will be performing a solo set. Street and concert musician Shady Ahmed will play alongside Tarek Abdel Kawi on guitar followed by a performance by Aya Mostafa. The festival will end with contemporary Egyptian band Salalem.
