Al-Fan Al-Tassia  - The 9th Art  will be launched at the opening of the Month of the French-Speaking World at the French Institute in Cairo on 7 March.

The month of events is to promote French books, booksellers and publishers in Cairo.

Al-Fan Al-Tassia represents a new phase in the editorial evolution of the TokTok series – a well-known Egyptian comic strip. It was published with the support of a European Union award. 

The Delegation of the European Union to Egypt comments that the new publication represents "a means to develop political and social debate in Egypt."

The event will be accompanied by a 'happening' by the TokTok artists.   

The Month of the French-Speaking World plans a comic strip workshop with renowned French artist Golo and other literary oriented activities.
