Hakawy International Arts Festival for Children
31 January-9 February across three cities: Cairo, Port Said, Ismailia
The festival will start with activities in Port Said on 31 January and 1 February, presenting chosen plays and workshops in Misr Public Library.
The main segment of the festival will take place in Cairo between 1 and 9 February, with performances, masterclasses, and workshops presented in Falaki Theatre, Hanager Theatre, the Italian Institute, and the Goethe Institut-Kairo.
The activities will reach Ismailia on 8 and 9 February, where the performances will take place in Misr Public Library.

Cairo International Book Fair
The 55th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair launched on 25 January at the International Centre for Conferences and Fairs (ICCF) in New Cairo.
This year, the fair features a record-breaking 1,200 publishers from 70 countries and over 5,000 exhibitors. Norway, known for its rich literary heritage, is the event's guest of honour.
The Book Fair will run through Tuesday, 6 February.

Al-Nour Wal Amal orchestra

Al-Nour Wal Amal Chamber Orchestra is Egypt's renowned orchestra of blind and visually impaired women musicians. The orchestra is part of the Al-Nour Wal Amal Association, an NGO for blind girls founded in 1954.
The orchestra has a few generations of musicians performing in Egypt and worldwide. The upcoming concert will feature the younger generation of musicians led by the orchestra’s conductor and music director, Tamer Fahmy.

A sudden passing away forces all members of the Al-Shanab family to gather in Alexandria. Despite their grief, the different relatives, comprising three generations, go through a series of comic situations that force them to realize the love they share for each other.

Japanese Film Week 2024

Artistic Creativity Center, Cairo Opera House Grounds, Zamalek, Cairo
Starting Saturday, 3 February, Japanese Film Week will present a selection of Japanese films spanning animation, comedy, drama, history, autobiography, mystery, and thriller.
A few films will be screened daily. The entire programme can be found on the Japan Foundation Facebook.
Fairuz Tribute Night - Music

Room Art Space - New Cairo
Oud player Michael Onsy and his ensemble will accompany singer Batoul El Abd in her renditions of known Fairuz’s songs.
The ensemble includes Onsy on oud, Feras Nouh on piano, Emad Sidhom on the bass guitar, Peter Romany on nay, Kareem Abdelhamid on cello, and percussionists Mark Samuel and Fady Ezzat.
