Titled "Lady of the Arab Theatre," the film was produced by the festival and was directed by Ashraf Fayek to the screenplay penned by Nader Salah El-Din.
Besides the screening, the festival's 17th edition will also carry Samiha Ayoub's name.
The accolades for the renowned actress have multiplies over the past years.
Ayouby is the honourary president of the Sharm El-Sheikh International Theatre Festival for Youth.
In 2015, she received the Nile Award in the Arts, the highest prize of the State Awards granted to people with one going contribution to the arts. The same year the large hall in the National Theatre was named after her.
A year later, The Charming Woman: A Vocation of Creativity, a new book celebrating the life of Samiha Ayoub was released by the Writers and Critics Association. The book was penned by journalist Sayed Mahmoud.
Ayoub is best known as a theatre actress, with works including Al-Bakheel (The Miser), Kobry al-Namoos (Mosquito Bridge) and Sikkat al-Salama (The Right Way), just a few examples of her body of works that includes more than 170 plays, movies, TV and radio series.
She has been also director of the Modern Theatre (1972-1975) and of the National Theatre (1975-1985).
The 17th edition of the ENTF is scheduled to take place in July 2024 with the exact dates yet to be revealed.
