The historic victory sparked an outpouring of celebration across social media, with Egypt's biggest stars leading the tributes before artists from across the Arab world joined in congratulating the Pharaohs.
Among the first to react was Egyptian screen legend Yousra, who praised the team's performance in an emotional message. "Congratulations to Egypt, and congratulations to Egypt's men," she wrote. The celebrations quickly spread beyond Egypt's borders. Syrian superstar Assala Nasri used the moment to celebrate both Arab nations that advanced to the Round of 16—Egypt and Morocco. Emirati singer Hussain Al Jassmi, renowned for his patriotic songs, celebrated with an Instagram post featuring his own anthem Mabrouk Le Masr (Congratulations to Egypt), accompanied by the message: "Congratulations to Egypt in every victory."

He posted a striking, seemingly AI-generated image of Egypt captain Mohamed Salah standing beside Australia's towering 1.98-metre defender Harry Souttar, whose imposing frame dwarfs the Egyptian forward.
His caption read simply: "It's not about height, by the way." The tongue-in-cheek remark neatly summed up Egypt's victory over a physically imposing opponent, celebrating the idea that determination, talent and heart matter far more than size.
