This week the Tahrir Monologues have started uploading the individual videos of the monologues on their Youtube Channel for the third anniversary of the Egyptian revolution.

The Tahrir Monologues is a theatrical initiative launched in May 2011 that collects and documents real, personal stories from the Egyptian revolution and presents them as monologues in a theatrical setting.

The monologues are performed by both professional and amateur actors. They have been well received locally and internationally for three years.

In 2013, Ahmed Abdalla, the award winning director behind Heliopolis, Microphone and most recently Rags and Tatters, directed the filmed version of the performance to disseminate it to a wider audience.
