Fabrica seeks invigorate the performance arts scene in Egypt, with a focus on musical theatre. Led by soprano singer Nevine Allouba, the troupe tackles Egyptian theatre and translates classic Western works into colloquial Arabic, reaching to the well-known stage productions and bringing them to Egyptian audiences.

Fabrica recently toured the United States with their performance of Les Miserables — the world-famous musical based on Victor Hugo's French novel of the same name — performed in Egyptian dialect.

The tour, which spanned Boston, Washington, DC and New York, was sponsored by non-profit organisations Izdahar and Meridian International, as well as the US embassy in Cairo, in an effort to foster cross-cultural collaboration and emerging arts in Egypt. An online crowd-funding campaign also helped fund the tour.
