Two concerts by renowned Egyptian composer Omar Khairat at Cairo Opera House

Renowned Egyptian composer Omar Khairat will give two concerts in February at the Cairo Opera House on the 10th and the 11th, where he and his orchestra will perform some of his best-known works.

Khairat, 73, has hundreds of compositions in his repertoire. He has composed musical scores for numerous films and television series, including ‘The Sixth Day’ (1984), ‘The Terrorist’ (1993), ‘Mafia’ (2002), ‘Girl’s Love’ (2003), ‘The Embassy is in the Building’ (2005), and ‘Deer’s Blood’ (2006).

Khairat and his orchestra frequently perform on stages in Egypt and across the region, but his Cairo Opera House usually attract large audiences, with tickets sold days prior to the event.

With Khairat’s January concerts at the Opera cancelled, a big turnout is expected for the upcoming concerts, booking for which opened on Monday.
