The first concert for Benali in Egypt will be at the Alexandria Opera House on 16 April, while her second will be at the Cairo Opera House on 18 April.
The concerts come within a larger tour that will include two performances in Belgium and two in Tunisia, later in April.
Benali, who is a singer, composer, songwriter, actress and graphic designer, started her music career at the age of 19, becoming a prominent figure in the Arab music scene after her first solo album, the self-produced Nada, was released in 2002.
Born in Belgium in 1968, Benali grew up in her family’s Tunisian hometown of Zarzis.
She is known for fusing musical traditions from the East and West, mixing classical Arabic styles with jazz and Indian music, which reflects her multicultural background and fascination with Arab music legends.
Benali has performed in different venues across Egypt dozens of times and has featured with prominent musicians, including Grammy Award winner Fathy Salama.
