The duo consists of Polish saxophonist Michał Knot and Serbian accordionist Bogdan Laketic.
Both musicians are based in Vienna, Austria, where they explore a broad repertoire that brings together hundreds of years-long music traditions from Eastern Europe and the Western world.
As their promotional material reveals, the duo sheds a particular light on music from the Balkans.
Inviting audiences to a unique instrumental combination — the saxophone and accordion — the musicians will feature Johannes Brahms’ ‘Sixteen Waltzes Op.39 (Selection)’, Béla Bartók’s ‘Romanian Folk Dances’, and ‘Three Preludes’ by George Gershwin.
The concert is organised by the Austrian Cultural Forum on the occasion of the ‘European Month of May’ series of events.
