Omar Khairat to perform three concerts in Cairo this May

Egyptian composer Omar Khairat and his orchestra will reunite with his Cairo’s wide fan-base in three big spring concerts this month as he plays some his most memorable works.

Khairat will perform in his favourite venue - the Cairo Opera House’s main hall on Sunday 15 May and Monday 16 May - with tickets sold out weeks in advance.

On Friday 20 February, Khairat will play a concert dubbed ‘Biggest Spring Concert’ at the Cairo International Convention Centre’s Open Theatre, with some tickets still available between EGP 750 and EGP 2550.

Khairat, 73, a world-renowned musicians, has hundreds of compositions in his repertoire.

He has composed musical scores for numerous films and television series, including The Sixth Day (1984), The Terrorist (1993), Mafia (2002), Girl’s Love (2003), The Embassy is in the Building (2005), and ‘Deer’s Blood’ (2006).
