The young pianist will perform Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto no. 1 in G minor.

The concert, which will take place on 10 September, will also feature Mozart's Symphony no. 25 and Schubert's  Symphony no. 4 in E minor "Tragic."

El-Batran studies piano under Sherif Salah at the Talents Development Centre, a body operating under the Cairo Opera House.

He developed interest in Western classical music at a very young age. While studying law at the university, he continues to dedicate a big part of his time to piano.

He was among the winners of the seventh edition of the Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youths in November 2021. 

According to El-Batran, he did not decide on his future career path, paralleling both, studies and music. In a recent interview with Al-Ahram Weekly, El-Batran clarified that “I can’t say which direction life will take. For now, I hope to be able to enter as many piano competitions as possible, even if I don’t win – the experience is important.”

And while he continues to explore music, the audience will have an opportunity to listen to the young talent in the upcoming concert.

The Cairo Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by its principal conductor and music director El-Saedi.
