An Introduction to Photography, held in English, with instructor Aladin Abdel Naby is tailored for beginners. This 6-week photography course will start on 11 December and is designed to introduce the basics of photography to the novice. The course will cover topics such as film vs. digital, shutter speed and aperture, automatic vs. manual control, depth of field, light sources, principles of composition and the basics of image editing using photoshop.

Urban Street Photography Course, held in English, with instructor Aladin Abdel Naby is tailored for intermediate level students. This four-week photography course will start on 12 December and is designed to deal with photographing in the public urban environment. Course participants will be guided in finding suitable locations and working within their conditions.

Both courses are part of a series on photography courses held regularily by the CIC. To register for any of these courses, applicants are required to contact Contemporary Image Collective (CIC), 4th Floor, 22 Abdel Khalek Tharwat, Downtown Cairo, Egypt.  Sunday to Thursday, 10 am to 6 pm.
