Egyptian marimba musician Nesma Abdel-Aziz and her ensemble are preparing for a concert at the open-air stage at the Cairo Opera House on Thursday 4 April.
Abdel-Aziz gained fame as the solo percussionist of the Cairo Opera Orchestra, especially when accompanying star musician Omar Khairat, who assigned to her many solos from his repertoire.
Abdel-Aziz, who has a different approach to classical and contemporary music, performed a series of successful concerts with her 'Nesma Group' ensemble all over the globe.
They have represented Egypt in a number of festivals in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, India, Austria, Lebanon, USA, Switzerland, Dubai, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar and Oman.
