A CONSERVATOR restores an Islamic piece of art before its permanent exhibition at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation, where work is at full swing to prepare it for the grand opening.

The main display hall is set to host a collection of objects that relay the history of Egypt since prehistoric times to modern era.

Overlooking Ain Al-Seera Lake, the museum will house the royal mummies which are scheduled to be transported in a majestic parade from the Egyptian
Museum in Cairo.
