This week President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi marked the 49th anniversary of the October War, giving a speech in which he described the crossing of the Suez Canal as a miracle and the war itself as the beginning of the path to the possibility of peace in the Middle East. Egypt will forever remember the incredible sacrifices of the soldiers who made it possible, he said.
