Want brighter, tighter, better-looking skin? A key element is Vitamin C, an important component of many skin-brightening regimens. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that fights fine lines by stimulating collagen, brightens the complexion by blocking excess pigment creation, protects the skin from damaging free radicals, and keeps inflammation at bay.

We can get the Vitamin C we need through a healthy diet, but unfortunately very little of it goes to the skin. As we age, the skin’s natural levels of Vitamin C decrease, and dermatologists recommend adding it to your skin-care routine no matter what your age might be – you can even start in your twenties.

Facial wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes can be annoying issues for many women due to their negative impact on an overall look. Experts say that a Vitamin C serum can really help here, as it has the effect of Botox and a whitening cream at the same time and helps to combat ageing and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Here are three Vitamin C serums for wrinkle removal that you can make at home with natural ingredients to help you enjoy more attractive skin.

Vitamin C and almond oil:

Dissolve one tablespoon of Vitamin C in one teaspoon of almond oil and then add one capsule of Vitamin E and stir well. Add one tablespoon of aloe vera gel to the mixture and stir again. Put the ingredients in a sterile sealed bottle in the refrigerator. Apply twice a day, morning and evening, after cleaning your face.

This serum helps eliminate wrinkles and fine lines, as well as unifying and lightening skin colour. It contains several amino acids and helps in stimulating hydroxy-lysine, which works on bonding the collagen-producing molecules needed for skin rejuvenation and moisturising.

Vitamin C and glycerine:

Dissolve one capsule of Vitamin C in one tablespoon of distilled water and one tablespoon of glycerin. Stir the ingredients well and then put the mixture in a dark sterile bottle in the refrigerator. Apply daily to a cleansed skin in the morning and evening.

This serum helps remove facial wrinkles and fine lines around the mouth and eyes, revitalising youth and vitality to your skin. It is also effective in moisturising the skin and making it silky smooth and also protecting it from infections and dryness.

Vitamin C and rose water:

Dissolve one capsule of Vitamin C in two tablespoons of rose water and stir well. Add one capsule of Vitamin E and two tablespoons of aloe vera gel to the mixture and stir until it is homogeneous. Put the mixture in a dark sterile bottle and keep it in the refrigerator. Apply once daily in the morning on a cleansed skin.

This serum stimulates the production of collagen in the skin to maintain its elasticity and reduces wrinkles and fine lines.  It also helps in getting rid of dark circles under the eyes.
