“Arabic Topography”, the BA and the French Cultural Institute in Egypt present this exhibition dedicated to the art of printed Arabic letters as part of the 2019 France-Egypt Cultural Year. It covers several centuries of calligraphy creation: posters from the Arab world from the capital of Algeria to Beirut in the 1870s and 1980s, the history of printed Arabic letters from the 16th to the 21st century, and finally a selected creations of printed letters by contemporary artists (11September- 6 October).
