“Salah Jahin’s Quartets”, after a long absence from the Egyptian scene, the well-known Syrian artist Youssef Abdelké is back with a new exhibition. It includes 35 subjects coming from Salah Jahin’s quartets, that the Egyptian poet wrote between 1959 and 1962 (closing 28 April). “Belly of a Mountain: Offerings and Plaques (2014 - 2020)” exhibition of sculpture by Sherif El-Azma. For his first exhibition at the gallery El-Azma presents a body of sculptural work made in old Cairo, at his Fustat studio. An ongoing project that investigates material forms, material histories, renegotiations of symbolic language, offering, ritual and alternative hypothetical stories told with the object as the central nucleus for discussion (8 May - 2 June).
