“The Egyptian Art in the Twenties of the Last Century,” a group exhibition of masterpieces by legendary Egyptian artists such as Mahmoud Mokhtar, Mahmoud Said, Ragheb Ayyad, Youssef Kamel, George Sabbagh, Mohamed Hassan, Emmy Nemr, Suzanne Adly, Shaaban Zaki and others. The show includes a selection of their most important artworks nearly 90 by twenty artists whose works shaped the features of that important period of the history of Egyptian art

Palace of Arts
The seventh round of the Cairo International Forum for the Arts of Calligraphy, which bears the slogan “Pioneers Renovators in a Hundred Years (1922 - 2022)”, in cooperation with the Egyptian General Assembly for Arabic Calligraphy headed by the great calligrapher Khoudeir El-Borsaidi. The forum witnesses the participation of 150 Egyptian and foreign guests and artists, including 63 Egyptian artists and 27 foreign artists from the countries: Serbia, China, Tunisia, Pakistan, Iraq, Japan, Thailand, Algeria, Indonesia, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, India, Uzbekistan, and Nigeria (6-20 June).

“Retrieving Absence” exhibition brings together the latest articulations of three ongoing artistic projects by artists Nadia Mounier, Hagar Ezz Eldin, and Rawya Sadek. Through biographies, household materials, and family albums, the artists evoke the women they associate with through their biographies, photographs, and the handcrafted furniture of their homes. The three projects take research as a starting point, and produce, sometimes reproduce, what is absent or the time that has passed. The exhibition is accompanied by a series of events in collaboration with the artists (22 May - 30 July, open daily from Saturday to Thursday from 12-9pm).

“A Journey in Panoramic Land”, a photo exhibition by Patrick Godeau. The French photographer exhibits for the first time in Egypt a selection of 40 astonishing photos taken in different southern countries over 35 years. Mostly focusing on landscapes and ancient monuments, Godeau began to look for the masses, the volumes that blend and oppose each other at the same time, the richness of the colours, and then to wait for the light, this light that is so essential in photography, this glow that enlightens the conscience, the spirit and that sharpens our intellectual curiosity and our contemplative inclinations (5 - 30 June).
