“Think Big!” group exhibition answers the question, Do large works of art provide more enjoyment, a more in-depth experience, than smaller works? Does size truly matter in art?

When artists create big works, there is a relationship of size between one thing and another. In contemporary art, this has become a determining factor in artistic process. The size of the artwork can influence the subject matter and how the audience responds and interacts. When you stand before a work of art somehow larger than you, how can you resist its influence and its power on your emotions? In one way or another, the artwork imposes itself on you (closing 15 September).
