Abu-Shady’s beliefs inspired a series of artworks comprising photo collage, photo montage, photography, drawings, paintings, and a video artwork as well that is strongly connected to the black moon mythology (closing 8 June).

West Exhibition Hall
“Antiquities Inspection Tours to Upper Egypt during the Nineteenth Century and the Archive of Eduard Toda” exhibition is organized by the BA Antiquities Museum and the Spanish Embassy in Cairo. The exhibition presents a collection of photographs collected by Edward Toda (1852-1941), who worked as the Spanish vice-consul in Cairo during the period between 1884 and 1886. The selected images are the most interesting in Toda's photographic collection; They provide information about how the Antiquities Authority worked with regard to the field of archaeological work and documentation during the nineteenth century, specifically in the context of annual inspection trips to Upper Egypt (28 May-5 June).
