"Celestial Scapes", an exhibition of astrophotography by photographer Amr Abdul-Wahab.
Over millennia, the cosmos has always been gazed at with wonder and awe by humans. The exhibition features a series of celestial scapes captured from deserts, oases and coastal cities across Egypt. The body of work depicts planets, galaxies, snippets of orbitals, meteors, constellations and interstellar dust, recorded through long exposure photography through a complex process that sometimes extends to 48 hours to produce a single image. The exhibition celebrates the photographer’s career spanning over ten years, finally earning him NASA recognition in 2022, when he won the Photo of the Year award. Book your gallery visit through [email protected] (closing 23 May).

"Sushi: Cultural Heritage – I Love Sushi" travelling exhibition aims to provide an in-depth visual guide to the appeal of sushi. It includes the chance to learn about how Japan took in sushi in its original form, how it modified sushi to suit the natural environment, culture, and lifestyles of individual areas. It also introduces today’s vibrant sushi culture, and it encourages us to think about the potential of sushi as a food for the future in the light of contemporary food issues. Well-known today throughout the world as healthy food that is simple, refined, and pleasing to the eye, sushi is the archetypal example of washoku—Japanese cuisine—which UNESCO has inscribed on its Intangible Cultural Heritage list. The exhibition includes a simulation of a visit to a sushi shop in Japan
