The 4th Edition of The World Week of Italian Cuisine (2-8 December)
Thurs 5, 5pm: “Olive Oil Tasting Experiment”, the fourth consecutive edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World presents an exquisite olive oil tasting experiment and seminar on the benefits of the olive oil and how it creates a gustatory and culinary balance that triggers the flavours and the aromas. Italian senior researchers from the National Research Centre Stefano Predieri, and Roberto Volpe will guide the audience in an interactive lecture on the diversity and characteristics of EVOO. The Italian gastronomic specialties represent a part of the Mediterranean diet, which is an intangible cultural Heritage of Humanity recognized by UNESCO. Versatile kinds of extra virgin olive oil are used for a wide range of recipes on which depend the mouthwatering tastes of the Italian cuisine (The seminar will be in English). The Italian Cuisine Week will take place at the Italian Institute as well as several locations in Egypt.
Sun 8- Tues 10, 5pm: The annual conference of the Italian Archaeological Missions presents a workshop on the science of archaeology and the cultural heritage. The main aim of the conference is to promote the cooperation between Italian and Egyptian partners in the archaeological field.

Fri 6, 5pm: “Are We Ashamed of Our Roots”, a taboo talk which is a brave space for difficult conversations. It is an offline, dialogue-centered communal conversation, where participants come together to talk about difficult and typical dividing issues.
