Tues 4, 9pm: “Alathar Lena” (Heritage is for the People) Initiative is the title of a seminar with professor May Al-Ibrashy. Alathar Lenais an initiative led by the Association of Urban Thought - Megawra. Since 2012, the project has been deployed in the heart of Al-Khalifa district to preserve, transform and enhance Islamic heritage. The objective is both to improve the quality of life in historic districts and to develop sectors of activity (tourism, art and crafts) around this prodigious heritage.

 

Italian Cultural Institute 

Italy is celebrating the 700th death anniversary of Dante Alighieri, from 12 March to 4 July 2021. So, the Italian Institute continues to post videos in Arabic with translations from Dante Alighieri’s masterpiece The Divine Comedy to bring the Arab-speaking public closer to the work of the supreme poet. Videos are directed by Giabluca Barbadori, with the special participation of Ashraf Farouk, Amir Salaheddin, Sherine Hegazy, and Sara El Mokadem.
