Sat 14, 9am: After the success of its first three editions, the Choose France student fair is back with a special edition dedicated to French double degree courses in Egypt.
Organized by the French Embassy in Egypt and Campus France Egypt, the fair aims to present the training courses that issue French diplomas in Egypt. Representatives of the various sectors issuing French diplomas in Egypt will attend the fair to present their training and meet the student public of the Alexandria region.
Students and their families will also be able to visit the stands of the French Embassy’s Scientific and University Cooperation Service, Campus France Egypt, the Department of French Courses and the media library of the French Institute in Egypt at Alexandria.
Finally, the day will also be an opportunity to meet Egyptian alumni from these sectors and participate in “CV and cover letter” workshops to prepare your application file as well as possible. This special edition of Choose France dedicated to French diplomas in Egypt aims to promote these courses of excellence and to support high school and university students in their academic orientation.
Tues 17- Thurs 19: In the heart of the city of Alexandria, “Odyssées 2.0” 10th edition of the literary encounters “Writing the Mediterranean” embraces the centuries to immerse guests in a contemporary reflection on the Mediterranean story by summoning literature, poetry and the digital. Three main chapters will punctuate these meetings: Mediterranean stories of yesterday and today, new forms of storytelling and economic models of digital writing. Wed 18, 7pm (Free entry): “Communication Between Yesterday and Today” is a panel discussion on modern forms of narration in the Mediterranean region with Eric Sadin, Ahmed Esmat (founder of the Alexandria Media Forum), and Mohamed Abdel-Rahman, moderated by Dalia Chams.
Wed 18, 9pm (Free entry): “Alexandria - is the Lighthouse?” a music and poetry show with Colin Jose, Emad Mabrouk, and Omar Ali Abdo.
The city of legends, the ancient capital, the pearl of the Mediterranean, many scenes are missing, but is Alexandria still the beacon of the Mediterranean? A question that the author tries to answer through a poetic show accompanied by live visual arts with Emad Mabroum and electronic music by Omar Ali Abdo. This creative work is an opportunity to critically reconsider what myths are and the weaving of the past, what binds us to it, and how it shapes our conscience without getting stuck in it.
