Thurs 17, 5pm: Book signing ceremony of the book The Smoke and the Mirror by Amr Hassan and Osama El-Hadidi. (6pm) a group book signing for writers of Dar Al-Zayat Publishing House. (7pm) an open discussion with the alchemist Ahmed Magdy will tell us about the most prominent places mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, in addition to a Palestinian folklore show presented by the Canaan troupe. 

Fri 18, 4.30pm: A group book signing for writers of Dar Tafra for publishing and distribution. (6pm) an evening of poetry features poet Marwan Sobhy

Sat 19, 4pm: Group book signing for writers of Writing Gathers Us Publishing House. (6pm) A book signing ceremony of the book

Under the title “Inheritance of the Ancestors”, Bibliotheca Alexandrina offers, through its Museum of Manuscripts of the Cultural Communication Sector, a series of free lectures and workshops for children and school students aging from 10 to 14 years old. This is during the summer vacation from the 21 June to 30 August, at 10am. The lectures aim to introduce UNESCO, its objectives and role in preserving heritage and the number of sites registered in UNESCO. In addition to introducing the child and youth to the meaning of heritage and its types of tangible and intangible heritage, natural and cultural heritage such as temples, archaeological sites, popular proverbs, folk dance, and natural areas. It will also display the heritage of the Arabs which we still use in our daily life such as coffee, public baths, fountains, textiles, shoes, and chess.
