Thurs 15, 6pm: “Recent Results and Future Prospects of the Dutch Archaeological Expedition at the Theban Necropolis” lecture is about
a fieldwork and research project takes place in and around TT45 in the Theban Necropolis, directed by Carina van den Hoven. New paintings were added to wall sections that had been left undecorated by the first tomb owner, and the existing 18th Dynasty paintings were partially retouched and repainted, thus updating them to contemporary Ramesside style and personal preference. Carina van den Hoven (The Netherlands Institute for the Near East, Leiden University) is the Director of the Leiden University Mission to the Theban Necropolis, which undertakes a research and fieldwork project in the area of Lower Sheikh Abdel-Qurna on the West Bank of Luxor.

Sat 17, 6pm: “The Biography of Prophet Mohamed, the Best of Creation” a new series, by Sheikh Mohab Othman,
exploring the biography of the best of creation Prophet Mohamed (P.B.U.H), in which he presents a detailed explanation of the events of the Prophet’s life in golden lines. Othman is a telecommunications engineer, Chairman of the Board of the International Business Management Group, and a member of the Board of the Gulf Centre for Trade. He also has extensive research on the Prophet’s biography, approaching 400 episodes, and several Quranic studies.
